Before we left, to make our long-term travel dream a reality, we spent a lot of time researching what we should bring with us.  After being on the road for a while now, we have paired down our gear to the things we love and we have gotten rid of everything else.

I mean that quite literally, in that we now only have a back pack and duffel bag each. That is EVERYTHING we own.

It is liberating and amazing – and flying is much cheaper and easier without baggage fees.

We decided to list our travel must-haves below.  In depth reviews of the items below are coming – so stay tuned.

But for now, we will save you some research – we never leave home without this stuff!

Listed here, you will find everything we have with us on the road – except some clothes.

It looks like a lot of stuff, but like I said, we only have a backpack and duffel each, so it packs down to be pretty small.

Bottom line: If it’s still in our bag at this point in our travels, we think it is really useful.

Also, some of the items may seem really random, but if they are included, they have come in handy more than once.
